Josh, I don't think this is a simple question. I think it depends on a lot of things, particularly who you're aiming at and what you want to achieve. A church website which exists to inform members would be very different to one which is seeking to reach out to secular people. Age and other demographics are also important.
Also important is how much info you want to put on the home page. Some of the sample sites are very pretty, but contain nothing but title and links. I think most web designers agree that, at the very least, it should contain a "byline" (i.e. not just the title "Inverness Coffee House Church" but also the byline "where thinkers drink and drinkers sober up" or whatever), and probably a bit more about the church, so people know whether it's worth their while clicking on a link.
So here's my hit parade (for what it's worth):
* Best graphic (for an urban church): Stone Community Church
* If you're aiming at older christians: pneumaChurch
* Good looking and with home page info if you're aiming at christians: epaga (but I don't think the name is either creative or attractive)
* Best looking home page info: Shadowridge, New Life, Pshuche (but another awful name!)
* Best if you're aiming to attract non-believers: Stone Community (if it had some home page explanatory text), Cedar Park (for older people - at least it offers some info about what they're on about)
Overall - Stone Community if some text added.
Oh, you wanted a simple answer? As the masked man said: "Get used to disappointment!" : )

There's a lot you can do to customize these... one key to look at is navigation - that can't be changed. I don't like the side menus - confusing. Overall I think epgae would work well for you.
